Dental Insurance: Use It Or Lose It!

Every year thousands of patients waste their dental insurance benefits by not using them by the end

of the year, don’t let that happen to you !!

Do you have dental insurance? If so, time could be running out this year to take advantage of your remaining benefits.

Why not take advantage of all the insurance benefits you are paying for? The yearly maximum usually renews every year (on January 1st if your plan is on calendar year).

If you have unused benefits, these will not rollover.

If you don’t use it you will lose it!

It’s that time of the year when everyone’s calendar is filling up. Do you have any dental insurance benefits left for 2014?

If you have already satisfied your 2014 deductible and have treatment remaining on your treatment plan why pay another deductible next year? Or, if you have a large treatment plan and have remaining benefits, optimize your benefits for this year and save what you can for next year.

Here’s an example:

If you have an annual maximum of $1,500, you’ve used up $1,000 of it and you need fillings that will cost $500, get them now. You’ll use your full annual maximum of $1,500 for 2014 and you’ll have $1,500 available for 2015.

If you wait until 2015 to get the fillings, you don’t take advantage of all the benefits you’ve paid insurance premiums for in 2014, and you could end up with a shortage of coverage in 2015.
